Now youse guys know that I fish with a bunch of misfits from Jersey and PA. Now I introduce these guys to a section of a not to be named spring creek. Next
thing I know we have: "Defazio's Riffle", "Bob's Run", "Rolf's Pool" and "Len's Hole". What prompted
this post is Marty and Len talking yesterday and Len saying something about the "riffle" upstream and Marty correcting Len with "Defazio's
Rffle". Now I could be over reacting but I think not. No respect whatsoever I tell you.

The way I see it, the other guys all have ailments of diverse kinds: Defazio has the riffles, Bob has the runs, Rolf has the pools, and Len has the holes--.

Well let's get one thing straight right up front. Don't be thinking you're going to come down here in 2weeks and change Western Marylands'
history by puttin' your name on things!!!! I refuse to be doomed to spend my remaining fishing time on Earth casting a line over "the Breakfast
Sandwich hole" or "the greasy Sunoco Burger Riffle" and especially the"Andre can't catch a fish on the Letort"
pool!!!!!!!!!
 Keep in mind that there are people living in these
mountains who can look through rifle scope with both eyes at the same time and they don't take kindly to having their favorite poaching spots
renamed.
Hey Rolf, Are you bringing the Twinkies? If you recall, we never did get the ones you sent to the FYAO outing on New Years day. |

Andre, there is a small pocket at the edge of the stream where DeFazio's riffle meets my run, you know below the big rock just up from the branch. Well it
needs a name.
How does Andre's Eddy sound to you? I saw a fish there one day. Bob

This morning, Andre was once again in DeFazio's Riffle. Although there were lots of Trico's the fish weren't cooperating but Bob did catch a nice
Brown in the cusp between "DeFazio's Riffle" and "Bob's Run" . As I left, I did notice in "Andre's Parking Emporium"
that his Beemer has a tire that's low on air. Seems he missed that memo from Obama.

Yes we did fish this morning. This is the Defazio seeding the clouds with Tricos upon his magnificent entrance to his riffle.
As you can see his magnifiscence was sucessful. as the only Tricos on the river were above his riffle. 
This is a "celestial trout" who helped highlight his position so his magnifiscence had some help. 
Now I'm not saying these guys can't fish but I think I out fished them pretty badly. I don't have the flair for the entrance however. I think you know the guy in the foreground by now and that's Bob in Len's hole and Defazio in Bob's run. The trico's follow Marty around.

Andre never ask. He emails us that he'll be fishing always ending it with a "if anyone is interested" Well of course I'm interested. I'll be fishing with the Dean of the Spring Creek. I'd be a fool not to go. After I manage a few fish, Andre will usually sweep back through and catch the fish I couldn't. As DeFazio puts it Andre feels we don't fish our sections thorough enough. By the way there is section up stream by the pavilion with the Spanish music that Andre seemed to be very excited about this morning. I don't think it has a name yet. Bob |

Ran into The Dean there today. I was fishing my way back from a visit to my brother in the northern Poconos and Andre was "home sick". Unfortunately,
he missed the better part of the trico hatch since he had to wait until Jane left the house before pronouncing himself fit enough to go fishing. I asked him
how long it took him to revise his diagnosis once Jane left - six minutes? - and he replied "Nowhere near that long".
That kind of commitment is how one gets to be The Dean, and as I pointed out to Andre the other day, in an attempt to mollify him, being The Dean of the whole damn river certainly trumps merely having a run or a riffle or a pool (and certainly a hole) named after one.
