The Missus and I are headed to Boulder next week to visit our new grandson. She's staying three days and then heading back home, and I'm staying a few
more days in order to get a little additional cuddle time with the little fella. I'm planning on taking either my 8040 Granger Special or the 8642 Granger
Favorite. I'll definitely drive up to Lyons to visit royalwulff and The Pink Panther at South Creek Ltd. - that might be a nice little outing for little
Mack, too (never too early to get them started). With luck, I'll be able to fish a bit in Boulder and also get out for at least two half days of fishing.
What I'd like find out from any of you who know the area is what flies should I be tying up over the next few days? I've got some time to reload my fly box, but I'm not sure what the basic menu is during the late summer in Colorado. I assume I'll be spending most of my time on Boulder Creek, the St. Vrain, and maybe another stream in the area. I'm also sure I'll buy a few of AK's flies when I get to Lyons, but I'm not sure I want to fish them or mount them.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dean
