Billings, MT next week |
Lead | ||
|
Looks like I will be driving up to Billings next week for a business meeting and I should be able to spend some time on the water before heading back to Utah.
Does anybody have any information on what might be fishing well either around Billings or Bozeman? I can pretty much pick my route to Billings depending on
where the best fishing might be. Thanks. If you want to use email: playspace@earthlink.net

Yellowstone is off colored also. 80 degree temps scheduled for this weekend is not going to make it any better.

Bob,
The Madison below Quake Lake should be opening soon. You may be able to catch it on your way back. Good luck and let us know how it went. Jim |

The section below Hebgen Dam on the Madison will only be fishable for 1/4 mile Beaver Creek and another creek are dumping runnoff now which effectively
eliminates fishing the water from Campfire down to Quake Lake. The upper 1/4 mile can be very good for nice browns & bows to 12-20"and sometimes
bigger. It's basically nymph water. The negative will be crowds since it will be the only game in town until the YNP opens. It's one of my favorites in
the spring and fall.
