It is geared toward rodmakers, both experienced and beginners, so everything centers around that. That said, if rodmaking interests you, then come on up and join us. It's a great group of guys that we've had the last few years, a lot of information going back and forth, plus some good old fashioned BS'ing and then there's the fishing on Sunday. Maine Cane, I was curious, would this be open to others that are interested in cane rod making, I have made some cases for rods, but not rods. As a fellow craftsman, this is very intriguing to me.

The Maine Gathering of Cane Rodmakers will be held on the banks of the Penobscot River at the Eddington Salmon Club October 10-12. This year's gathering will officially begin with a salmon bake on Friday evening and a film, combine a day of demonstrations on the craft of rod building on Saturday, and end with a day of fishing for Maine's storied brook trout and landlocked salmon on Sunday at the East Outlet, the headwaters of the Kennebec River.
