The Margaree is where I learned to fish for salmon. All this talk is making me long for her waters. We just might be close enough next year to make the trip.
Dwayne - I almost called you at the beginning of the summer, my mother-in-law lives in Charlottetown and I think there would have been some salmon in the PEI
rivers when we were there visiting her. Unfortunately family commitments were all-consuming. When the leaves begin to turn here in Ithaca I will think of Skye
lodge and other...

Sept 7(may have changed) used to be "annual cane rod day" on the Margaree. It was held down at Seal and i think there was a prize for the first fish
landed on a cane rod. I haven't been up that early in years so not sure if it is still ongoing or not. Robert Chaisson would know.
Ever check out the Salmon Museum? You could easily spend a day on that back wall alone!!
Good luck on the Miramichi,, it has been incredible by times this year.

Regretfully I shall be on the Miramachi at that time. I expect to be up there for a day next week (Sept 15/16 or 17) and again October 22 - 26/27. I gather
from fellow Margaree fans that it is fishing well having had lots of water. So far I have only seen one other bamboo rod on the river owned and fished by Mark
Arana (I think thats how he spelled it) - if there are any other bamboo fans who frequent the Margaree it would be fun to meet up.

Dwayne, don't I wish!! Next year for sure. I hope some of the guys contemplating the Margaree this year over on the Ephemera forum take up your
invitation. For next year my '98 fish'n 4Rnr is as easy to recognize.........silver in cloudy weather, tanish silver in the sun ( bizarre paint
job), US Washington plates are equally hard to miss. See ya.
