			<description><![CDATA[ Bamboo is a medium that to my eye manages to fill either end of the spectrum and it does it well. Dresssed or Naked Gnome loves them both and all of the stufff
imbetween.

Something Graphite can never do.

And remember different strokes for different folks and there is room for both.

			<description><![CDATA[ Something about bamboo that just makes it sublime with plain varnished translucent wraps, perhaps blued ferrules, and a blued sliding band down locker. 
Amazing how such simple adornments makes bamboo gorgeous in appearance.  Not unlike a black dress with pearls on a beauty.

			<description><![CDATA[ I actually don&#39;t have a preference per se on rod finish as long as the finish is nicely done and the rod is a great fishing rod.

In my collection, at one end of the spectrum is a Garrison 205. The rod is stark in its simplicity. The silk matches the cane color, and is barely noticeable
from any distance.  The reel seat is equally simple. And, the rod is an incredible casting machine. At the other end are rods by Jeff &quot;Gnome&quot; Hatton,

			<description><![CDATA[ Bobbegee. The fish was actually a very quick catch and release.  Part of the reason my shadow is in the lower right frame of the picture was my haste to get
the fish on the bank, lay the rod down, push back, focus the camera and shoot.  I think the whole process took about 7 or so seconds.  I always hate to have a
nice trout out of water for more than a few seconds, and, when it comes to trout, so far, in my fishing career (uggh, that makes it sound like work), I have

			<description><![CDATA[ Depends upon the appointments of the rod. I&#39;d fish either if it got me rocking. I&#39;ve fished rods that have the full treatment with intermediates and
rods such as the Granger&#39;s and enjoyed them both. I&#39;ve also had a Whitehead presentation rod available to me to fish and just wanted to pull the

			<description><![CDATA[ The 4th of July on the Pecos was spent partly with the Gnomes latest rod.    I was able to get some evening fishing in on the 3rd and then some morning fishing
on the 4th before company arrived.  Once my company had arrived, I spent the balance of the 4th and part of the 5th acting as their &#39;guide&#39;, showing a
newcomer to fly fishing some casting and line mending techniques.   It was a great time, because this trip for my friend, his second with me on the river,

			<description><![CDATA[ Jeff&#39;s rod arrived safely at my office a few minutes ago. A beautiful thing to behold. Fully mortised, with a wood carrying case that matches the wood used
in the mortised rod. Red velvet for the rod section inlays. A beautiful custom leather sack that snuggly holds the rod and rod case. All kinds of ivorite
monogrammed inlay work for the pouch and case. This rod is a 7&#39;9&quot; 2/2 5 wt based on a Hallstead taper, modified by Jeff. I can&#39;t wait to lawn cast
