Here is an unusual Sage rod in excellent condition. Officially its a TXL 4710-3 and whether its graphite or boron, I don't know but its a smaller rod with big muscles. I have about 5 bundles (20 culms ea. bundle) of pre-embargo cane that I will be getting rid of. This is some of the cane that came to me when I purchased the Carlson Rod Co. and originally came from the Thomas Rod Co. when "Sam" bought Thomas in 1958. These are all 8' culms, which was the norm back then and are smaller in diameter than you would see now (also the norm). These have been set aside because of staightness, water marks, farmers marks or other cosmetic issues, but...

Tim Zietak 7'0" 2 pc. 2 tips excellent condition. Takes a #4 line and is medium fast in action. Blonde cane with trasluscent orange wraps with brown tipped red at the ferrules. Rootbeer colored agate line guide. Has a tiger maple pocketed cap slide band reel seat. Hardware is blued. Grip is coke bottle shaped. I had a customer trade this rod in for a larger rod that he could use on some bigger rivers that he fishes more...

I have a JS Sharpe Scottie Bamboo rod, a 7' for a 3-4 weight, that I may want to sell, but I have no idea of it's value. I bought it new and have fished it only a few times as a 4 weight. It casts very well, but it is a rod that maybe better off as a collectors item? Depending on it's value, I may be willing to sell or trade it. I would appreciate some feedback with respect to it's value in today's market.
