			<description><![CDATA[ There is a new walnut and brass fly reel on ebay. Item #<span class="ebay">270263998736. In the description the seller says that he referenced a book he found
called &quot;Reels&quot; by Oliver Gregory dated 1883. The book was 60 pages and had layouts of wooden reels. Although the wooden reels predate the
&quot;classic&quot; period of vom-hofe style reels, they are a thing-of-beauty.

			<description><![CDATA[ I really admire all the work of all the folks who are turning out such great looking reels but why does everyone make the Von Hoffe style? Now I&#39;m
particularly fond of the raised pillar style and there are some nice ones made but very few compared to the Von Hoffe style. Is there a reason that there are
no new versions of the St. George or the Uniqua styles being made? How about some of the real nice pre-war Young or Dingley models?
