			<description><![CDATA[ Could someone give me an idea of what this rod is worth? 3/2, original sock and tube, tube shows a lot of wear. Tube lable maybe 40% but can make out the name
of the rod and the length. The rod sock and the rod itself looks to be used very little if at all. Cork is clean and smooth, reel seat looks like there has
never been a reel on it, the seat is kind of a Grey/White screw down locking plastic new, no scratches, nothing. Decal and signature on the butt section is
100% perfect.

			<description><![CDATA[ <p>I have a few fly rods from my father. Is it possible to get a value on this hexagon shaped Montaque 1LPF Lake Pleasant fly rod? I do not know anything about
fly rods. The only other information I can give you is what it says on the lable. 8 1/2 ft. Med. 3 joints &amp; extra tip. It also comes in a canvas bag. As

			<description><![CDATA[ Just got done reading John Gierach&#39;s Fool&#39;s Paradise, saw a bamboo rod and old reel for sale, bought it.  Know trying to figure out what type it is and
if it is worth trying to fix up properly to fish with or if I should just give it a whirl and see how it casts and then hang it on a wall if it does not work. 
Hoping I can get it up to par for fishing though!  All I can tell from the sticker is that it is a Montague and under the logo of the claw and fish are the

off the guides, rubbed out the old varnish, replaced the stripper with an old red agatine guide from my stash, polished and re-blued the original guides and

			<description><![CDATA[ I recently aquired a 9 1/2&#39; Hawes rod (today). Clearly marked Hawes &amp; Co. Makers Abercrombie &amp; Fitch Sole Agents New York. The rod is 3 a piece rod
with only 1 tip, all sections full length, ferrule plugs, original tube, fighting butt with tube and the tube is clearly marked and dated 1916. Since I aquired
this rod based on pictures and a description, with the only flaw noted being a crack in the sliding band; I was quite suprised when I recieved the rod and

			<description><![CDATA[ An 8 1/2 ft. 3/4 weight. 4.16 oz. The hardware is nothing special, but it has enough guides, and it casts nice. Slow and with a wide loop, but nice. It does
dry fly work okay. No target shooter, but it will shoot line, albeit with some s-curves from the tip wobble. But that&#39;s just what I&#39;m usually wanting
anyway. And it lays the fly down easy. Ideal freestone Appalachian rod.
