			<description><![CDATA[ I don&#39;t think I&#39;ve ever posted on this forum, but I&#39;ve been reading for quite a while.  This is a terrific source of information.

Does anyone know where I can find a tip top to match this?  It&#39;s a size 5 tube, ring is approx. .128 I.D.  If I have to, I&#39;ll replace both so they
still match.

It&#39;s from an Armax that is totally NOT mint, but is is fished frequently.  I&#39;d like to keep it period correct if possible for the the owner.

			<description><![CDATA[ I recently bought a Heddon, 8&#39;-6&quot; #14, 2F.  Overall seems to be in good condition.  At some point, it had most of its varnish removed, and now needs
to be re-varnished.  A couple of questions:

- The varnish over the inked &quot;Heddon&quot;, and rod info is still on the rod.  How can I get that off without destroying the inking?

question. First let me state that I am mainly doing it for cosmetic reasons as I plan on heat tempering it afterwards(not relying on the flaming alone to
temper the bamboo). The big question is whether I should darken the enamel quickly(close to the flame) or is it more like toasting marshmallows where you try

  I have been asked to rebuild a handle for one of the old bamboo rod. You know the ones with the reversible handles for spin or fly... Yea one of those.

  The cork is glued over a wood dowel. The ferrules are Glued in both end. I want to remove the Ferrule on the Reel seat end that holds the reel hood on the
dowel. The Reel seat is free to move about half way up the handle because of missing cork. How to I remove the ferrule? I tried heating. but it did not... ]]></description>
